Maintaining your hair is a must. ( For most of us anyway.) But have you ever thought of the rubbish you are producing yearly just by simply washing your hair with PET bottled shampoos?
An average person consumption is 1 bottle of shampoo a month. Yes folks, that's all adding up to 12 bottles per year. What about conditioner ? Pretty much the same. So on the lowest count, we are already at 24 bottles a year, not even mentioning a normal shampoo bottle is usually contains 750ml of magic instead of a liter. So just to keep it simple, let's put an extra two PET bottle on the top of the count. That's 30 plastic bottles per year. These friendly PET bottles take around 450 years to biodegrade. Shocking. I can already see the future where our great-great grandchildren are playing DNA rubbish hunt to search for the ancestors waste dumped into landfill.

Don't forget, we are only talking about one person ( or a family), and only mentioned hair products. Once the bottle finished, it can either end up on landfills or recycled. You might think, that I do recycle at least. However, recycling causes increased environmental problems. To turn an old product into a new one you will need extra energy (yes, even more pollution.)
So what can we do? The answer is simple. Don't buy bottled shampoos and conditioners. Luckily, shampoo and conditioner bars are now available on the market. Try them out and let us know about your experience. A simple habit changed can make a big impact on our future!
